Another Successful Regatta by
Firefighter Events.com
The 8th Annual Firefighter Regatta & Poker Run once again proved to be a great weekend for participants and event staff as well. Firefighters from around the southwest along with family and friends gathered for the 8th event on Lake Havasu.
The event attracted an array of new participants for 2008. In addition it was great to see many of our regular attendees from Las Vegas, Clark County, North Las Vegas, Blythe, LA County, LA City, Riverside and many other department return to Lake Havasu.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Jay Sylvester of Lake Havasu City Fire Deparment and first time attendee claims the 2008 Poker Run title. Along with winning a custom painted Cairns fire helmet donated by United Fire, Jay claimed $360 in cash.
The 8th Annual Firefighter Regatta helps raise money for worthwhile causes.
$1700 donated to Jeff and Jill Kemp whose 10 year old son Seth is battling Adult T Cell Peripheral Lymphoma. Jeff is a veteran Captain of the Lake Havasu City Fire Department. If you are interested in making a donation to Seth please contact Firefighter Events through out contact us page.
$360 donated to the Firefighter Don Danielson Memorial Scholarship fund.
$100 donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association
$400 donated to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network
